Arbrook House Care Home, Esher

The care home in Esher, Surrey has been rated as outstanding in three out of five categories following the inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).





The CQC awarded the care home outstanding in the following categories;caring, responsive and well-led, and good for being safe and effective.


Arbrook House Care Home is a care home that provides care, support and accommodation for a maximum of 42 older people some of whom are living with dementia.


At the last inspection we rated the service good.


This inspection took place 9 January 2019.


The CQC report highlighted that staff went above and beyond to ensure that people were treated with kindness and compassion. Friendships developed between residents and staff and the focus was on ensuring that people's and relatives emotional and personal needs were met.


The service was highly responsive. Residents enjoyed activities that were personally tailored to match preferences and abilities so engagement in activities promoted a sense of well-being and had positive outcomes.


Inspectors all referred toArbrook Housebeing led with an open and inclusive management style that evaluated its success based on people's experiences of care.
