The Lammas Residential Care Home in Coventry, West Midlands providing care for adults over 65, with both physical and learning disabilities has been given the overall score of outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Lammas House Residential Care Home is a purpose-built home for older people requiring nursing and personal care.
The inspection took place on 5 December 2018.
Lammas House was rated outstanding in two out of five key areas.
Outstanding ratings were given in the caring and well-led aspects of the report, and the safe, effective and responsive elements received a score of good.
Since the last inspection the service has improved to outstanding.People received care from a staff group who were extremely kind and dedicated to meeting people's needs. Residents were shown the utmost respect and dignity, and staff worked hard to maintain people's independence. Visitors and professionals were made to feel very welcome in the home.
CQC inspectors also highlighted that the registered manager was passionate about providing exceptional care to people and in driving improvements in the home. There was an open and transparent culture, and the staff team worked very well with each other to provide people with a happy, family style, warm environment to live in. The provider supported the registered manager with a governance framework which identified areas for improvement, and which were swiftly acted on.
There was excellent engagement with people who lived in the home, their relatives, visiting professionals, and the surrounding community.
